Fashion Forward for Flood Relief

This past weekend I was honored to be the Emcee/Host of the 2016 New Orleans Fashion Week Awards Gala in New Orleans, LA held at the beautiful Harrah’s Theater.

The event, which featured live music, performances by Miss Stormy Gayle, two stunning runway shows and also honored a bevy of talented creatives in the industry, was a spectacular evening.

In addition to the beautiful showcase of fashion featuring the theme of Fashion Fantasy Fete, the event also raised almost $400 for Launch Louisiana’s “Coats for Cajuns” campaign that is collecting funds as well as new and gently used coats to distribute to south Louisiana families severely affected by the 2016 flooding.

I live in Los Angeles now, but New Orleans will always be “home” and this weekend was a beautiful reminder of why that’s so.

Thank you to Tracee Dundas of New Orleans Fashion Week and her committed and talented team for allowing me to be a part of the Gala.

Now it’s time to start daydreaming about Fashion Week 2017.
